Questions & Answers

Why are you selling?
I moved out of Cyprus — that's the only reason. The car is in great shape and I'd keep it if I were staying. It deserves someone who'll actually use it on these roads.
Is the folding roof actually reliable?
Yes. I had it specifically checked by an independent inspector in September 2025. Hydraulics and mechanism confirmed fully operational — opens and closes every time. The Vario roof is the SLK's defining feature, and this one does it properly. That's genuinely rare on a 17-year-old example.
240.000 km on a 2008 — should I be worried?
It's honest mileage and I haven't tried to hide it. What matters is how those kilometres were covered: regular servicing with records, no accidents, no structural damage, no rust, fresh MOT valid until 2028. The 1.8 Kompressor is a robust engine that handles high mileage well when it's been looked after. This one has been.
Can I bring my own mechanic?
Please do. Bring whoever you like — I actively encourage it. The carcheckcy inspection report from September 2025 comes with the car, so your mechanic will have something independent to cross-reference against.
Is the price negotiable?
The car is priced to reflect what's been recently spent on it and its actual condition — not just the year and mileage. I'm not in a rush and I'd rather wait for the right buyer. That said, if you've viewed the car in person and you're serious, we can talk.
