Agorani fills a gap in Cyprus's secondhand market: a safe, mobile-first local marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other.

Agorani is built specifically for secondhand goods in Cyprus, with real seller profiles and a trust-first design from day one. Every feature, from in-app messaging to seller profiles and listing moderation, exists to make local buying and selling safer and simpler.

Why Cyprus

Cyprus has a vibrant expat and local community with strong demand for a dedicated secondhand platform. The island's mix of cultures, languages, and lifestyles creates a natural marketplace — but until now there has been no app built specifically for it.

Agorani is island-wide from launch — built for a country where English, Greek, Russian, German, and Spanish speakers live side by side. The goal is a marketplace that works for every community in Cyprus, in every language.

The Name

"Agorani" comes from αγορά (agorá), the Greek word for marketplace and the act of buying. In ancient Greece, the agora was the heart of civic life — the place where people gathered to trade, connect, and build community. The name reflects our roots in Cyprus and our mission to create a trustworthy, modern local market that brings that spirit back.
