Our Mission

Agorani fills a gap in Cyprus's secondhand market: a safe, mobile-first local marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other.

Unlike Facebook Marketplace — which has no seller verification, no reviews, and no safety layer — or Bazaraki, a general classifieds site with no trust infrastructure, Agorani is built specifically for secondhand goods in Cyprus. Every feature, from verified profiles to in-app messaging, exists to make local buying and selling safer and simpler.

Agorani is operated by Wandity, a software development company based in Cyprus. Wandity builds digital products with a focus on community and trust — products that make everyday life a little more connected.

Why Cyprus

Cyprus has a vibrant expat and local community with strong demand for a dedicated secondhand platform. The island's mix of cultures, languages, and lifestyles creates a natural marketplace — but until now there has been no app built specifically for it.

Agorani starts in Paphos — a multicultural city where English, Greek, Russian, German, and Spanish speakers live side by side — then expands island-wide. The goal is a marketplace that works for every community in Cyprus, in every language.

The Name

"Agorani" comes from αγορά (agorá), the Greek word for marketplace and the act of buying. In ancient Greece, the agora was the heart of civic life — the place where people gathered to trade, connect, and build community. The name reflects our roots in Cyprus and our mission to create a trustworthy, modern local market that brings that spirit back.
